Project Description

This project is a one story medical office building for the County of Riverside located in Mecca, California (click here for a map). It consists of approximately 22,569 square feet of enclosed building plus approximately 1,737 square feet of arcade (covered entry). Some of the structural challenges include:

bulletSite is within 6.4 km of the San Andreas Fault bulletDesign wind velocity is 100 mph bulletSoil is expansive. Foundation has been designed in accordance with UBC/CBC Section 1815. bulletStructurally, this building is actually two buildings joined by a covered walkway.
